  1. Gene was a wonderful man. Such a spit-fire, so full of life. He had more more energy than men half his age. He wasn't just a great neighbor, but a part of the family. Our hearts go out to Thelma, his family, and his beloved dogs. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

  2. As a boy growing up in Silver Grove, one of my favorite people was Gene. He was able to talk with anyone regardless of their background. And, his sense of humor was priceless. I still hear his laugh all these years later. I wish I could attend tonight, but work has me out of town. However, I will be there in spirit. Thelma, Steve, Julie, Ronnie, and Dave, please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. God speed, Gene, you will certainly be missed.

  5. Thelma, Ronnie, Dave, & Steve: Please accept my deepest Sympathy on Gene's passing. I remember when I coached Steve with The Hiland Lab Baseball Team Gene & myself would discuss the game after we won! Gene will be missed by all he came in contact with. RIP GENE FARRIS. Tim Gray.

  6. Amy and I would like to offer our condolences as we were saddened by Gene's death. A great guy who always had something to kid me about. I always had a smile on my face when I saw him and that smile remained long after our visit. He will be missed. A good man right down to the moccasins!
