Edward N. Franzen Jr., 82, of Melbourne, KY died Saturday, May 7, 2011 at home. He retired from Cincinnati Gas & Electric after 35 years of service. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Campbell County VFW Post #3205 Alexandria, KY., a member of Disabled American Veterans Cold Springs. KY & Catholic Order of Foresters. He is survives by his wife of 57 years Dolores (Gunkel) Franzen; 4 Sons, Jeffrey Franzen of Ft. Thomas, KY. Douglas Franzen of Ft. Thomas, KY., Gary Franzen of Dallas, TX. & Patrick Franzen of Melbourne, KY.; sister Glorianna Heck of Melbourne, KY.; 2 brothers, Robert Franzen of Melbourne, KY. & John Franzen of Atlanta, GA.; also survived by 3 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. Visitation 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at the Alexandria Funeral Home Alexandria, KY. Mass of Christian burial 12:30 PM Wednesday at Saint Joseph Church Camp Springs, KY.
