Donald Martin Wiedeman
Donald
Martin Wiedeman, 83, passed away April 11, 2013, at Emeritus of Edgewood. Don retired
after 37 years as Executive Vice President of Home Builders of Northern
Kentucky. He was Past President of
Executive Officers Council of the National Association of Home Builders, a
member of the American Society of Association Executives, Past President of
Cincinnati Society Association Executives, helped to organize the Herbst Tour
in Camp Springs, a member of the Tri State Photographic Society, Army Veteran
of Korean Conflict and was a member of Camp Springs Volunteer Fire Department.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Louise S. Wiedeman. He is survived by a
daughter, Dena Crain; two sisters, Carole Cleves and Marilyn “Binky” Sullivan;
two brothers, Louis “Pete” Wiedeman and Robert Wiedeman; dear friends, Marty
and Nancy McClanahan; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation 5:00
PM – 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 17, 2013 with Mass beginning at 7:00 PM at Saint
Joseph Church, Camp Springs, KY. Interment Saint Stephen Cemetery Fort Thomas,
KY. Memorials can be made to Newport Central Catholic High School, 13 Carothers
Road, Newport, KY 41071. Alexandria Funeral Home serving the family. Online

Don, you will be sorely missed. You were an outstanding, leader, mentor, friend and example to thousands in Northern Kentucky and across our Nation. The Home Builders Association will never be the same without you. The mark you left upon our community will be forever remembered. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Family and Friends of Don, Elaine and I share in your loss of our good friend, Don. I have many great memories of my relationship with Don, beginning when I first had contact with him over 40 years ago. His leadership and fellowship at the N. Kentucky HBA was inspiring and will not be replicated. It is hard for me to think about the HBA without thinking about Don. He will be missed and is in our prayers.

DeleteI am so sorry that I can't be there with you. My thoughts are there, and all my memories of my favorite Uncle Don, who kept his sunny side up throughout his life. He was such an amazing photographer, and the photos on the walls of our house will always remind us of him.

DeleteThe great distance prevents our joining you all today, but know that you are in our hearts. As to many, Uncle Don was a beacon of warmth and character in my life (who I am sure did not realize the impact he had). I am most thankful that he was such a truly wonderful brother to my mom through so many years regardless of whatever else happened. Let us show our love for each other and rejoice in the precious gift that is life. Uncle Don, may you rest in peace and remain with us always.
