Raymond R. Gunkel

Raymond R. Gunkel, 58, formerly of Alexandria, KY,  passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Saint Elizabeth Edgewood. Ray was a chef at Summit Hills Country Club for 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Becky Ashcraft Gunkel; two daughters, Vanessa and Samantha Gunkel; brother, Van (Linda) Gunkel; sister, Maxine Weber;  niece, Brittany Gunkel; two nephews, Doug and Dustin Schoultheis. Visitation 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Alexandria Funeral Home with the funeral service immediately following at 8:00 PM. Memorials can be made to an Educational Fund for Vanessa and Samantha Gunkel at any PNC Bank.

    We loved you, You were a wonderful Husband to my sister and blessed our family with 2 beautiful nieces. Taken from them and the rest of the family way too soon. I know you will be watching over your wife and your daughter's that loved you so very much and they absolutely adored their daddy. RIP, You can now join your parents our dad and Granny May and Papa Paul watch over all the loved ones left behind.
