Mildred Gebelt-Beckerich

Mildred Gebelt-Beckerich, age 85, of Alexandria, KY passed away on November 5, 2016.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Beckerich; sister, Anna Mae Burkhardt; brother, Elmer Gebelt. Survivors include sisters, Louise Imhoff and Dorothy (J.B.) Kremer; many nieces and nephews. Mildred earned her Master’s degree from Xavier University and was a teacher for many years for both the Dioceses of Cincinnati and Covington, and the Campbell County School System.  She was a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of St. Mary Church where she sang in the choir for a number of years. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at St. Mary Church, Alexandria, KY with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.  Memorial Donations are suggested to St. Mary Adopt-A-Student Fund.  Arrangements entrusted to the Alexandria Funeral Home.

    May you find comfort in this verse during this your time of sorrow knowing others care. At Isaiah 25: 8 and it reads, "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, For Jehovah himself has spoken it." This gave our family comfort and hope.
