Jacob Dean Baumann

Jacob Dean Baumann, 20, entered into eternal life on Friday August 19, 2016 at his residence in Del Ray Beach, Florida.  Jacob moved to Florida to start a new life.  A new Sober Life.  Jacob was an avid lover of sports.  Jacob was able to brighten any room with his contagious smile.  Our feelings are summarized from this quote from one of Jacob’s high school football coaches: “I watched you try. I witnessed your failures, but you never gave up.  You kept fighting back, trying to get better. You did the best you could… I just wish I could tell you great job one more time.” He was preceded in death by his cousin Dean Sapsford, grandfather John Edward “Jack” Stieringer, and Uncle Roy “LeMaur” Roberts.  Jacob will be dearly missed by his parents Mark and Terri Baumann; his sisters Erin and Rebecca; Grandparents: Don and Judy Baumann, and Grandmother Carol Stieringer; numerous loving aunts and uncles (17); cousins (27), and countless friends in Northern Kentucky and Del Ray Beach, Florida.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexandria Funeral Home 325 Washington Street, Alexandria Ky. With a mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Parish 8246 E Main Street in Alexandria Ky on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Following the mass, he will be buried at St. Mary Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Undercroft at St. Mary Parish following prayers at grave site. Memorials to Bishop Brossart High School and NKY Hates Heroin.

  1. Mark and Terri, I just wanted you to know that you are in our prayers. Our daughter has had some friends that are fighting that same battle, and some lost it like Jake. The few times that I was around him, he was always
smiling, and making others laugh. You can be
assured that he is at peace, and smiling now.

  4. To Jacob's family and friends,
I didn't know Jake very well but always remember seeing him around at St. Mary and BBHS. Some of my friends knew him well. My heart aches for the heartbreak you're all going through. I pray that you will find peace and strength through the love and support that surrounds you.

  5. Mark, Terri, Erin and Becca,
Our family is devastated by this loss. Jake was such a kind soul and we remember well all the great times our families shared all the way back to our "Red Devil" days. We hope it gives you some comfort to know how affected this entire community is by his passing. He will be missed and never forgotten. Hugs and prayers to you all.
