Ralph Jon Parnell, Jr., 72, of Camp Springs, KY, went Home to be with his Lord on Friday, Dec. 2, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. A graduate of Campbell County High School and UC, he was also a member of the Army Reserves. Ralph was a retired manager from Newport Steel, entrepreneur, and a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Montgomery, OH. Ralph was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, & great grandfather and will be sorely missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Jon Parnell, Sr., and sister, JoAnn Strange. Survived by wife, Fran Parnell; children, Ralph Parnell III, Anita Repasky, Alicia Gambrell, Richard Parnell and Andrea Samuel; mother, Katherine Parnell; 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Terry Parnell and Rusty Parnell; sisters, Judy Strange and Jennifer Moore. Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington St., Alexandria, KY on Tues, Dec 6, 2011 from 5PM to 8PM. The service will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1237 Rocky View Dr., Cold Spring, KY on Wed, Dec 7, 2011 at 10AM. Memorials may be made to The Missions Fund at Fellowship Baptist Church, 9431 Shelly Ln, Montgomery, OH 45242.
I am so blessed to be apart of such an amazing family that Daddy Ralph and Fran made. Daddy Ralph was an amazing person to know. He was always cheerful and welcoming to all. I often wonder why God choose me to be apart of Daddy Ralph's life. I felt so lucky and sometimes felt it was not fair to those that didn't get to be apart of this awesome family of Daddy Ralph's and Fran's. I will miss Daddy Ralph so much, but will be blessed by the legacy he has left behind. I love you all - Fran, Ralph (my husband), Anita, Alicia, Richard and Andrea! Love, Rose
